Live conditions
Weather alerts, river and tide gauges, wind, power outages, traffic and road work from public federal and state feeds. If a feed stops updating, Pelora says so.
In development · Looking for pilot towns
Pelora gives city and town staff one shared picture of what's happening right now: weather alerts, flood gauges and tides, power outages, road closures, field crews and property records, all on a 3D map of the community.
Who it's for
Small and medium cities and towns rarely have a GIS team on call or a command center. Pelora puts the picture those teams would build in front of every department that needs it.
What it does
Public data feeds and your town's own records, kept current and laid over a 3D model of your community.
Weather alerts, river and tide gauges, wind, power outages, traffic and road work from public federal and state feeds. If a feed stops updating, Pelora says so.
Every building on the map. Open one to see its address, parcel and the documents your town keeps for it.
Mark road closures and hazards from the map or from the field. Urgent items come first, and everything is kept in a log for the after-action review.
Raise the water level and see which buildings and roads flood, which neighborhoods get cut off and how traffic shifts when roads close. Estimates are always labeled as estimates.
Staff share their phone's location to the map during an event from a web page, with nothing to install.
Draw and mark up, measure, buffer, browse layers as tables, and print or export maps for meetings and reports.
Harbor moorings and waitlists, cemetery lots and burials, and a property document library, each tied to its place on the map.
Ask questions about what's on the map and get answers that point back to it, without needing to know which layer to open.
Each town chooses what to share with the public, such as public documents and cemetery search. Staff decide what is published.
How we build it
Upload your own GIS files, spreadsheets and records. Departments can keep their own versions or share them across the town. We're designing Pelora so you can always take your data with you in standard formats.
Map layers show measured, sourced data. Models and projections live in simulations, clearly marked, so nobody mistakes a guess for a reading.
Built toward WCAG 2.1 AA, with an accessibility conformance report (VPAT) that states plainly what is and isn't there yet. Available on request.
Hosted on Amazon Web Services in the United States, with invitation-only staff sign-in and encrypted storage.
Where we are
Pelora isn't for sale yet, and no town is using it in production. We're building it with input from municipal staff, starting in Massachusetts, and we're looking for a few cities and towns to help shape a pilot.
If you work for a town and the problems above sound familiar, we'd like to hear what would make this useful for you.
